Manhattan Transfer TV Pilot Update

MANHATTAN TRANSFER TV Pilot Project

MANHATTAN TRANSFER by John E. Stith, first published by Tor Books and the Science Fiction Book Club, has been optioned in 2022 for television by award-winning producer Sky Conway.

The current plan is to produce a low-budget television pilot episode as a proof of concept. When that is ready, the project will be shown to some potential producing partners. If a suitable deal is made, a co-production may result. If not, Sky plans to use his history of crowd-funding successes to produce TV episodes himself.

Originally the series was to be called SKYJACKED. The current plan is to use the original book title, MANHATTAN TRANSFER. (The book title came not from the musical group, but from an old rail transfer station in Manhattan.) Some of the pilot funding has been secured, and additional funding is being solicited via BackerKit.
